Joan and Burt Ross, fellow Malibu residents and longtime supporters of The People Concern, have generously offered to match donations up to $250,000 to help move Malibu’s unhoused neighbors into permanent housing. This gift is the largest of its kind for the express purpose of helping Malibu's unsheltered move into PSH throughout Los Angeles County. With these funds, The People Concern can significantly expand their rate of housing beyond their current placement of 1 person per month by connecting 30 additional homeless people in Malibu with PSH over the next two years.
Gerry lost everything in the fire and decided then to change his life. In response to the fire, The People Concern participated in an emergency resource event to help people experiencing homelessness. That's when Gerry began working with The People Concern and quickly moved into interim and then permanent housing. Today he is sober, housed, healthy and safe!
